Hi there, I'm Alan Fleming. Recently returned to Glasgow after 30 years away, I decided to put together a guide to Glasgow for fans attending Glasgow in 2024, and you're reading it.

I was born in the city though moved away in early childhood. I returned to study at Strathclyde, but by that point I'd already discovered SF Fandom, attending and helping out at Albacon '84 and onward. I took a long time away from fandom but returned in 2016:, when living in Manchester I read that Mancunicon, the Eastercon that year, was being held on my doorstep. I've been going to Eastercons, Worldcons and others pretty much constantly ever since.

I live (in)conveniently close to the SEC with my husband, David, the other person behind the idea of this guide.
