The nearest “old” distillery to Glasgow. Founded in 1833 it is 14 miles north of the city, set under a hill at the end of the Campsie Fells. Glengoyne is a Highland whisky as the stills are in the Highlands region even though the cask maturing warehouses, across the road, are in the Lowlands.
