====== Help us write a fan's guide to Glasgow! ====== Hi there! We're [[user:alan|Alan Fleming]] and [[user:david|David Bamford]], and we'd like to ask for your help in writing a guide to Glasgow for fans attending the [[http://glasgow2024.org|Glasgow 2024]] Worldcon. Alan was involved in Glasgow fandom in the 80s and early 90s before gafiating((getting out of fandom)) until, when living in Manchester he read that 2016 Eastercon, [[https://www.facebook.com/mancunicon/|Mancunicon]], was being held on our doorstep. He dragged David along and we've been going to Eastercons, Worldcons and others pretty much constantly ever since. At Chicon, the 2022 Worldcon, we found [[http://users.rcn.com/neilrest/NNG.html|Neil's Native Guide]] a great resource for getting a basic handle on the city from both a tourist and a fannish perspective, and we thought it would be a great idea to publish something similar about the city of Glasgow in time for [[https://glasgow2024.org|Glasgow 2024]] But we've only been back in the city a year((as of February 2022)) and only back in fandom for seven years, so we understand there's things we'd miss if we did this by ourselves. So we're asking for help. This is a wiki, and anyone can edit. If you'd like to contribute then we'd love to have your input.
